Over the years music has always been a big part of me. There is a song for every occasion, feeling, or mood.
In the past, I have played trumpet as part of the local youth group and played in local pantomime productions. I also have an upright piano that sits in the hall that I enjoy tinkering on now and then. Occasionally you might even hear me stretch the vocal cords if the notion takes me.
As for djing, it started like most at home with vinyl records and then doing wee parties for family and friends, where I started to build the entertainer side of being a dj. Listening and watching to see what would work. Then in 2007 the Dj Duff business was born, where I took the show on the road and since then I have been very privileged to be a part of so many special occasions and events.
My venture into radio began when I was heavily involved in the set up of Down Fm, now known as Fm105 Down Community radio. This was when I was studying at the college and was taught by former Cool Fm dj Sonya Mac. Back in room A6 of east down institute, a team of us built the studio, populated the music library and started broadcasting. I hosted different shows over the years, everything from the Friday feeling a show to kick start your weekend to more recent years hosting a mid day show a couple of days a week full of music, competitions, features, and interviews.
Catch me Live on FM105
